Nooo! Don’t Eat That!
When you’re trying to be fit and healthy, there are some foods that you really just need to avoid. These foods have very few redeeming values, and these are far outweighed by the negatives. I found these examples of poor food choices from eDiets very interesting.

The first was certainly not surprising. Donuts. If anyone thinks these are healthy, they probably have other delusions as well. High in calories, and half of those from fat. There’s also a nearly complete lack of any nutrition from them.
Ramen noodles are also bad for you. It took me a long time to convince my husband of this. He’s not so great about understanding what you should look for on a label. He somehow had the idea that only the cholesterol numbers on the package mattered, not the fat. Insane, as anyone who does understand eating healthy understands.
Fried foods isn’t a surprise on this list. Fast foods and french fries really aren’t good for you. While some fast food restaurants now have some healthier options, you still need to pay attention to what exactly it is that you are eating.
Hot dogs are also really horrible also. Not only are they fatty, but hot dog buns don’t have much going for them either.
And of course you can add sodas and mayonnaise to the list.
So What Should You Eat Instead?

Donuts are nice for a quick breakfast on the go, so think about other things you can eat when you’re on the run. Grab a piece of fruit. Maybe a whole grain bagel or a low fat bran muffin. You can take these with you just as easily as a donut, but you’re getting more than calories and fat for your efforts.
Quick lunches and dinners can be more difficult. A sandwich is not a bad idea, especially if you use whole grain breads rather than white. If you must use mayonnaise, consider a low fat variety or substitute mustard.
Soups can be healthy but they can also contain a lot of sodium and fat. Read the labels and make intelligent choices when it comes to soup.
One of the best things you can do is deliberately add fruits and vegetables to your meals whenever possible. Chop the veggies up, grill them; just try to limit the fat you add to them with sauces, dips and oil.
A lot of eating healthier as you try to lose weight lies in finding new choices that work for you. Find new favorites that are better for you than the old. This way you can still eat things you enjoy and not feel too deprived.
