Time for Exercise

I have to admit, I never knew what these bikes were called, even though my older sister had one something like it when we were growing up. Now I know. It must have been a beach cruiser. Hers looked about like the XYZ Woman Blue Classic Beach Cruiser, except it was all dark blue.

These look pretty nice. I love the fun color schemes. And if you have a beach in your area, they’re one more inducement for you to get out and exercise. Well, okay, you don’t really need the beach. But it sounds fun.

Now, if I were to design one for my daughter, it would have to be pink all over. I see they do have a pink bike… hardly a surprise, of course. However, she doesn’t know how to ride a bike yet, being only 4. But riding bicycles is a great family activity, and my husband and I are debating whether to get her a bike for Christmas or for her fifth birthday. Probably really just depends on how much we spend by the time we have to make the decision.

The holiday season is a great time to pick out gifts for your family that encourage exercise. Bicycles, roller skates, scooters, baseballs… whatever gets you out there having fun as a family is good. Making time for exercise doesn’t have to be a chore. Having a sense of play makes things much easier.
