Choose a Healthy Lifestyle
Becoming more fit is a choice. It is a decision to have a healthier lifestyle. It can start as simply as the decision to drink one less soda a day and to build from there.
Even a few small improvements in your lifestyle can help you to be healthier. If you tend to sit all day, take the time to do something active, even if only for 15 minutes. You can decide to park your car further away from buildings, use stairs rather than elevators or escalators and other such things if you don’t think you can make the time for exercise any other way.
You can think more about what you eat. If you eat lunch out every day, try bringing a sandwich or leftovers to eat instead. Eat more vegetables and fruits. Kick the soda habit as much as you can. Drink more water.
If you smoke or do drugs, quit! OK, so it isn’t as easy as that, but come up with a plan and get the help you need. My grandfather quit smoking his pipe the day the found a spot on his lungs, yet even now, about 25 years later, doctors can tell by his lungs that he used to smoke. But the sooner you quit the more time your body has to get over the damage and repair it as best it can.
Choosing a healthy lifestyle isn’t so impossible as it may seem. It’s about making a decision and sticking to it. Find the right motivation and stick to it.
