How is That Resolution Holding Out?

Are you sticking with your fitness resolutions? If so, congratulations! About a quarter of people who made a New Year’s resolution have already dropped it by the second week.

If it’s giving you trouble already, don’t give up. Maybe you just need to rework your plans.

What were your plans? Lose XX pounds? In what time frame?

For some it can work better to have goals more specific to diet and exercise plans than weight loss plans. This gives you goals you can really see your progress on. No waiting for the weight to drop.

Think about how many times a week you would like to exercise. Three times a week, 30 minutes each time is a good starting point. Not too painful but still sufficient to be effective.

If your resolutions are giving you trouble, the best thing you can do is rework them so that they work better for you. Nothing good comes of giving up too soon.
