Reaching Beyond the Plateau
It’s frustrating when you reach that point in your fitness routine that you just can’t seem to go beyond. No more weight loss, no more muscle definition, no more strength. Yet you keep trying.

What to do, what to do?
Perhaps most important is to simply not get frustrated. You can’t give up on fitness as a way of life.
Take a bit of time and think of a new routine. If you like, you can alternate it with your old one, but the point is to keep things going.
Alternatively, change the order. You can even do this every time you work out. Of course you always want to start with a warm up and stretching period, and end with a cool down, but everything in between can really be done in a different order.
You can also change the weights you use or how fast you do your reps.
Pretty much any changes you make will help your routine to be more effective as a workout for you, so long as you keep focused on your overall goals. The most important thing is to keep challenging yourself at least a little and to never give up.
