Tiny Steps Toward Fitness
Getting more fit doesn’t have to be a massive time commitment. You can take small steps to get used to the idea and the routine.
Don’t go out and spend a bunch of money on exercise equipment right away. You don’t know if you’re going to use it yet.
A gym membership may not be the right idea either. Then again it could be the perfect idea. It depends on whether spending the money will motivate you enough to actually go out and use it several times a week.
Try starting with something simple instead. Commit to a daily walk, for example. It’s easy yet it can help you get more fit. Best of all, since the entire family can go you don’t have to worry about finding childcare. And if daily is too much, try for at least three times a week.
Alternatively, find a friend to workout with or play a sport. This can help you to commit as you’ll be disappointing someone else rather than just yourself if you don’t exercise.
Taking a big step into a new routine can be just asking for failure. Try smaller steps to build healthier habits.
